Instead of using the more commonly available consumer transistors (NKT275/ AC128 (Fuzz Face) or SFT363 (Tone Bender MKI) like other boutique units, BSM has chosen to use high quality industrial strength NOS Siemens transistors. And unlike other fuzz pedals which require periodic adjustment (via an internal trim pot) of the bias, each individual unit's bias is tuned prior to leaving the factory and will last a lifetime without any adjustment.
